The July 2024 MA General Election was an election held for the Micronational Assembly, which began on July 29 and concluded on July 31, in which delegates will cast votes to elect the MA Council and the Chairman. Following the Council election, the Chairman election will be held.
Background
Per the election procedure, the five candidates who receive the most votes will be elected to the council. If there is a vote tie between candidates who have reached the votes required for a seat, a runoff election may also be held.
The Council Election has nine candidates. Four of the candidates, Saspearian, Vandelland, Bepistan, and Wetherill, are incumbent members of the council. If all of these candidates are elected, this would mark the first instance in which four incumbent Council Members are re-elected. Five of the candidates are contenders for the council. Therefore, at least one newcomer will be elected to the council.

SBC News has projected that incumbent council members Saspearian, the State of Bepistan, and the Free State of Wetherill have been re-elected to the MA Council. SBC News has also projected that the Free State of Taliban has been elected to the council.
Incumbent Council Members, Saspearian, the State of Bepistan, the Free State of Wetherill, and the Grand Duchy of Vandelland have been re-elected to the MA Council. The Free State of Taliban also has been elected to the MA Council and is the sole non-incumbent to win the election. These results mark the first instance in which four incumbent council members are re-elected.
Anthony I, the current Council Member and representative of Saspearian, has announced that he is running for Chairman. Anthony I formerly served as the 17th Chairman from August 2023 to February 2024. Amir Yusuf, the recently elected Council Member and representative of the Free State of Taliban has also announced his candidacy for Chairman.
The Chairman Election began on August 8 at 1 PM Unueco Time.

The election has concluded, with polls having closed at 1 PM Unueco Time on August 10.
After certification of all ballots cast, the winner of the Chairman Election was declared to be Amir Yusuf of the Free State of Taliban, with 12 votes, clinching a historically close victory by a single vote against Anthony I of Saspearian.
Anthony I of Saspearian received 11 votes, tying the record set by his previous run in the March 2024 Special Chairman Election for the highest number of votes cast in an MA Chairman Election for an unsuccessful candidate. Anthony I improved his performance by 5.5 points, receiving 47.8% of the vote. In comparison, Anthony I received 42.3% of the vote in the March 2024 Election.
