Earlier today, Unueco, the capital of Saspearian, and many other places across North America saw a fascinating event: a Total Solar Eclipse. Millions who live in many cities across the United States, Mexico, and Canada were on the path for this event.
There was much anticipation for the Total Solar Eclipse due to its presence and remarkability. The eclipse had a broad extent in its path as it passed in totality through the United States, Mexico, and Canada and was the only eclipse to be visible in totality in all three countries in the 21st century. In addition, it was the first Total Solar Eclipse to pass through Saspearian.
In Unueco, the Partial Eclipse began at 11:17 AM, and the totality began at 12:36 PM and lasted for approximately 2 minutes and 41 seconds—the Partial Eclipse following the totality ended at 1:58 PM (all times are in Unueco Time).
The weather conditions were forecasted to be mostly cloudy during the eclipse, with some visibility possible. Due to the potential conditions, there was consideration by the Saspearian Government for canceling the watch party at Unueco. However, there were some break-ins in the clouds, which allowed for favourable viewing and the severe weather forecasted was after the eclipse.
Emperor Anthony I, along with family members, held a watch party for the eclipse. “The solar eclipse was an amazing sight to see,” Anthony I says. The weather conditions in Unueco were mostly cloudy during the eclipse but visible during the partial solar eclipse and totality.
The next solar eclipse that will pass in North America along a similar path in extent will occur on August 12, 2045, which will be seen in Saspearian.
