Earlier this week, on Tuesday, Anthony I returned to his full duties as the Emperor of Saspearian, marking the end of the regency period in Saspearian, which began on July 12. This comes as the Emperor has announced his full recovery from jaw surgery.
Last month, the Emperor announced the start of regency due to his jaw realignment surgery. During the period of regency, long-time citizen and former Member of Parliament from Logejo, Asher Young, was appointed as the regent. Anthony I remained as the Emperor but served with limited powers. Diplomatic relations remained stable, with Anthony I continuing to represent Saspearian as a delegate in the Grand Unified Micronational, Micronational Assembly, and the Cupertino Forum.
Anthony I provided a statement on August 27 regarding the end of the regency period.
“The Regency period has ended as I am now fully recovered from the jaw surgery. I am now feeling better. Thank you to Asher Young for serving as the regent and to everyone who has wished the best for my health. You can expect to hear more from me soon, as I plan to try to expand our diplomatic relations and implement new reforms.”
