The 2025 Saspearian General Election is an election that began at 12 AM Unueco Time on January 24 and concluded on January 26. There were six candidates who ran in the election, and all six seats in Parliament were set to be contested. Almost all seats had candidates, with the sole exception of one seat in Logejo, which is currently vacant.
The election comes after a Special Election was held last month, which saw vacant seats being filled in under a time of restored interest in Saspearian’s government. The Sarsaparilla Party, which is a right-wing party that was recently formed, aims to challenge the more left-wing aligned Parliament. Its members include former MP River Kimmis and current MP in Logejo, Luis Rutter. Both members were involved in a coup attempt last month but have since renounced their views and intend to have their policies implemented through Parliament. Despite the coup attempt, both Kimmis and Rutter were elected following the special election that was held last month. Kimmis withdrew citizenship from Saspearian, and Rutter has since remained as an MP. This election will not only determine the Representatives for the next Parliamentary Legislature but will also answer the question of how the political climate in Saspearian will be shaped in the near future.
