Last month, Niall MacDavid, a GPM MP in Logejo, withdrew from Saspearian. Due to his absence, a Parliamentary Special Election was called by Emperor Anthony I. Initially, a GPM member was planned to be appointed; however, as no replacement was found, Anthony I decided to call a special election instead. The Parliamentary Special Election began on April 24 and concluded on April 26, followed by a runoff election.
Three citizens declared their candidacy for the seat. The candidates include Dayvian Reyes, a member of the Saspearian Geolibertarian Party; Jason Prunella, an Independent; and Shane Torres, a member of the Saspearian Worker’s Party.
Currently, the seats that are represented in Parliament include two seats represented by the General People’s Movement, and one of each represented by the Saspearian Workers Party, the Democratic-Socialist Party, and an Independent.
